Expression of Interest: Seeking Castle Rock Board Members

Dakwakada Capital Investments (“DCI) is a privately-held investment firm located in Whitehorse, Yukon. Our sole-shareholder is the Champagne and Aishihik Trust (“CAT”), an organization whose purpose is to hold and manage most investment and business assets of Champagne and Aishihik First Nation (“CAFN”).   DCI currently holds financial interest in Castle Rock Enterprises, RAB Energy Inc. (Northerm Windows & Doors) and Icefield Tools.

DCI is looking for CAFN Citizens that would be interested in representing DCI as a Director on the Castle Rock Enterprises’ Board of Directors.  Castle Rock Enterprises is a leader in construction services throughout the Yukon. Based in Whitehorse, Yukon, Castle Rock Enterprises offers clients an integrated and seamless process, ensuring on time and on budget performance.  Castle Rock Enterprises areas of specialty include underground utilities, quarry services, highway construction, commercial parking lots and landscaping, topsoil and snow removal.

As a Board Member you are responsible for the following:

  • To be committed to the Board.
  • Regularly attend all Board meetings, and Committee meetings to which they are appointed.
  • Attend continuing education sessions and special sessions arranged for the Board.
  • Be prepared for the discussion and decisions to be made at Board meetings.
  • Study and be familiar with Board documentation sent out in advance of meetings.
  • Participate fully in Board meetings offering opinions and advice.
  • Maintain an objective perspective and provide leadership for all Stakeholders.
  • Act in integrity and declare any conflicts of interest.

Directors are compensated nominally for their time and are in a position of supporting and enabling the future financial well-being of DCI, which directly benefits CAT, which supports the overall growth and development of CAFN. This is a great way to make a difference in our community!

If you are aged 17-25 then this is an opportunity for you!

RAB Energy Inc. is looking for Yukon First Nation youth aged 17-25 that would be interested in ex-officio Youth Director Position on RAB Energy Inc.’s Board of Directors for a one year term. This is a great learning experience for anyone that has an interest in business and management. See first hand how a Board of Directors works and play a part in making significant business decisions of a Yukon owned First Nation Business.

As a Youth Director you are responsible for the following:
